The turf at St Bede's College was officially opened on Friday, 21 May 2010. Marist Park is home ground to St Bede's College hockey and the Marist Hockey Club with the Canterbury Hockey Association utilising the field for the various competitions which take place each season.
The turf is an International full size water-based turf, made from Polygras Olympia, the same type of surface used at the Beijing Olympics and the project was made possible through the committment of various parties. Construction of Marist Park turf began in early February and was used for the first time on Saturday, June 12. The first ever match on the field was played at 8:00am between Harewood Gold and Hornby Cats, with the result a 0-all draw.

Marist Park at St Bede's is situated behind the school at the back of St Bede's College and can be accessed from Momorangi Avenue.
