Funding Opportunities
Foundation Funding
In February 1993, Badminton Victoria established the "Badminton Foundation" fund. The interest gained from the investment of the Badminton Foundation fund is available to support Players, Accredited Coaches and Administrators who are in need of financial assistance to study or train (generally overseas) for the purpose of improving badminton.
Objectives
1. To enable Players, Accredited Coaches and Administrators to improve their quality of performance in badminton.
2. To allocate monies to Players, Accredited Coaches and Administrators to attend competitions, conferences, seminars, coaching clinics, schools or other forms of training or education inside and particularly outside Australia.
3. To allocate funds for scholarships to Players, Accredited Coaches and Administrators.
4. To provide the necessary facilities in all the above objectives to be made available primarily to Australian citizens. The Board will have the discretion to include those who are not Australian citizens.
5. To raise funds for the objects of the Foundation.
6. Reinvest unused interest into the Foundation Fund.
Application
1. Players, Accredited Coaches and Administrators may apply in writing to Badminton Victoria requesting assistance.
2. The application will require comprehensive detail of the project undertaken.
3. The applicant will have to outline the long-term benefits to badminton.
4. The applicant will be required to financially support the project.
5. The applicant is required to provide to Badminton Victoria a written report of the project conclusion.

Affiliated Associations are asked to contribute to this worthwhile fund to further assist the development of badminton in Victoria.
The Centre for Multi-Cultural Youth Issues
The Centre for Multicultural Youth Issues (CMYI) has welcomed the Victorian Government’s announcements in the 2008-09 State Budget for increased funding to support refugee students.
“We are very happy to see a range of initiatives funded to help those refugee students struggling in the school system. Funding to support the co-ordination of over 80 volunteer-run homework clubs in schools and community centres around Melbourne will be of great benefit to those young people requiring additional support to remain in school,” says CMYI Director Carmel Guerra.
