Badminton Victoria, in assocaition with Badminton Australia, has negotiated on behalf of its Members Insurance Coverage for the sport for all those Member Associations / Clubs who wish to be a part of the National Insurance Scheme. Working with Marsh Pty Ltd  a cost effective set of policies providing coverage for Member Associations has been obtained

Badminton Victoria support and are a strong part of the National Insurance scheme, working collaboratively with Badminton Australia to ensure that insurance premiums remain affordable for members.

Aims of the National Insurance Scheme

1. To offer national insurance coverage for badminton which provides direct benefits to members, players, administrators, coaches and court officials;
   
   
2. To provide more cost effective insurance solutions for the sport nationally;
   
   
3. To implement risk management plans and systems to minimise risks and ensure annual premium increases are kept to a minimum;
   
   
4. To develop a national database of badminton of insured members - players, administrators, coaches and court officials.
   

There are two insurance products for those member associations/clubs who have registered through their State/Territroy Badminton Association.

     1.  Group Liability Insurance (Public Liability and Professional Indemnity)

     2.  Group Personal Accident

      3. Directors and Officers

Please find below the generic certificate of currency that can be downloaded to show coverage of Public Liability & Personal Accident. If your association has purchased insurance for the 2008/2009 year, you will have a personalized certificate of currency emailed to your main contact. This is a preferrable certificate to use as it is unique to each association. If you have not recieved said certificate, please contact the office.

To make a claim

All claims must be notified to SportsCover within 30 days of the accident, injury, damage occuring. Please notify SportsCover by obtaining the appropriate claim form via the following number:

SportsCover will then be able to provide you with the appropriate form and details to assist you with your claim.
