Volunteers

volunteers.gifVolunteers are the backbone of local clubs and associations and without their support it is unlikely that Australian hockey would have reached the level of international respect and success that it has done.

Volunteers work hard at ensuring their club members have a positive hockey experience and create the foundation for those participants staying in the sport. A hockey club or association that supports these people has a better chance of recruiting and retaining them, given that most are volunteers.

Say ‘Thanks’ to your volunteers
Hockey Australia would like to say a big ‘Thanks’ to the thousands of club/association volunteers who contribute their valuable time, effort and expertise in assisting hockey participants to develop their skills and enjoyment for the sport. Volunteers are the backbone of local clubs and associations and without their support it is unlikely that Australian Hockey would have reached the level of international respect and success that it has done.
