People are the most important part of a club, forming the necessary infrastructure for its existence and contributing greatly to the total experience. This section provides information specific to your role in club hockey, whether you are a player, parent, teacher, coach or official. Players
Hockey is a game for everyone and being a player means that you form the basis of a hockey club. Being a member of a hockey club not only gives you place to play hockey, but also makes you a part of the hockey community which gives you the opportunity to make new friends, socialise and to be involved as a volunteer.

Parents
Parents are an important part of club hockey, contributing greatly to the overall club environment. As a parent/ guardian you can make a positive impact on the quality of the hockey experience for junior participants by taking an active role within the club and as a positive role model.

Teachers
Teachers are a crucial part of the hockey pathway as they introduce the sport to many children who have never played or experienced hockey before. If you would like to play hockey in your school follow the Hook in2 Hockey link below to find out about our national schools program.
- Hook in2 Hockey program - Hockey Australia's junior participation program. The first stage is School Stage: An entry level program conducted in schools aimed at 5-8 year olds.
