Hockey Victoria provides many opportunities for parents, volunteers or those that would like to take up the challenge of coaching. There are many courses, seminars and conferences conducted on a regulsr basis, to assist coaches keep up to date with the latest coaching and teaching techniques.
Coach the Coach
The Coach the Coach program introduced in February 2009 is proving to be very popular, with many clubs taking up the opportunity to be involved.
The coach the Coach program provides clubs with the opportunity of training your Clubs Junior Head Coach who will then have the capacity to pass on the model and specialist knowledge to the rest of the club’s junior coaching staff. The program aims to produce coaching disciples who will spread the word and set in place fundamental coaching systems that will bear fruits for juniors in the future.
