Player Clearances
1. Players wishing to move from one competition affiliate to another:
To be eligible to play with any affiliate other than the one the player is currently registered with the new club, on behalf of the player is required to ensure that a player transfer, (either via the on-line system or via the written Transfer Form) is completed and fully processed prior to the player playing with their new club.
2. Players wishing to register with a second affiliate in a different competition section:
To be eligible to play with a second affiliate (only permitted when in a different HV competition section), the new club on behalf of the player is required to complete the HV Registration Transfer Form and submit to Hockey Victoria for approval.
Please note the requirement to list ALL current and ALL proposed clubs.
HV will record and process all approved applications into HockeyNet. (The HV Registration Transfer Form replaces the previously used HV Player Registration Permit Form).
3. Processing of Player Clearances:
On-line Clearances (See Easi-Guide 1D attached below for instructions):
It is now possible to process a player clearance on-line through the SportingPulse system.
An on-line clearance may only be used for players who are currently registered with ONE Affiliate and wish to transfer to ONE other Affiliate.
As explained in the Easi-Guide, this process must be initiated by the new club. The player should not initiate the on-line clearance process.
Written Clearances (See Clearance Form attached below):
Completed forms must be received by HV not less than two (2) business days prior to the player’s first match with the new affiliate.
Written Clearances can be used for all player clearances, but must be used for players:
1. who are currently registered with MORE the ONE Affiliate and wish to transfer to ONE or MORE THAN ONE Affiliate, or
2. who are currently registered with ONE Affiliate and wish to transfer to MORE THAN ONE Affiliate.
3. Please note the requirement to list ALL current and ALL proposed clubs.
HV will record and process all approved applications into HockeyNet.
PLEASE NOTE:
Affiliates should NOT try to register a transferring players on HockeyNet - the player is already registered on HockeyNet.
Their registration will be transferred from the current Affiliate to the intended Affiliate when the clearance is processed
4. When can a transferring player play with their new affiliate?
Once the player's clearance is processed either on-line or by the Hockey Victoria office in the case of a written clearance, the Affiliate will receive an email via HV webmail advising them of the status of that the clearance - confirming whether it has been fully processed or is pending.
The status of the player's transfer application will also appear in the Player Clearance List on the SportingPulse website.
The player is ineligible to play with their new Affiliate until the application is approved and fully processed.
