The Townsville Fire get set to host the Sydney Uni. Flames on Wednesday night, when the 2011/12 WNBL finals get underway.
The elimination final tips off at 7:00pm local time (8:00pm AEDT), with the winner being awarded a showdown with Dandenong in Melbourne at 3:00pm AEDT Sunday afternoon.
The Rangers will be feeling good about themselves after demolishing the minor premiers Adelaide on Saturday afternoon, however Sydney Uni and Townsville have proven that they are big occasion performers, and pose a genuine threat to the top three line-ups.
The big match-up of the week will see the top two teams pitted against each other on Saturday afternoon at 3:00pm AEDT, when the Adelaide Lightning host the Bulleen Boomers for a chance to gain direct passage into the WNBL Grand Final.
The loser will face the winner of Sunday afternoon’s clash between Dandenong and the Winner of Wednesday’s elimination final.
The 2011/12 WNBL season has been full of drama and the stage is set for an even more dramatic conclusion, and it all tips off Wednesday night.
